HOW DOES YOUR BRANDING/WEB DESIGN PROCESS WORK?
Please download AB Creative's process guide; with this PDF you'll get the gist of the process I use. Obviously we live in a wild world, and every process is subject to change or modifications depending on your custom project design.
WHAT ARE YOUR BILLING AND INVOICING METHODS?
I kindly accept written checks made out to AB Creative, and will soon (summer 2016) accept Paypal payments. Most projects are due in two parts; the first half payment is to secure initial work and is due upon the start of your project. It is 25 percent of your quote and covers initial work, with the second payment due upon completion. If for some sad reason, we don't continue past the first stages of the design process, the first payment will be your sole payment.
ARE YOUR INITIAL PAYMENTS REFUNDABLE?
Please keep in mind that initial payments are nonrefundable under most circumstances. You are given a custom deposit based on your design package that secures your space within my scheduling queue. That initial payment covers the time and work relating to the beginning steps of the design process regarding your project (i.e., homework, startup meetings, initial concepts and logo work). The nonrefundable deposit is AB Creative's way of making sure our clients are serious about moving forward with their project.
DO YOU HOST THE WEBSITES YOU DESIGN?
Yes and no. That’s up to you. If you choose, you can purchase your desired domain name and hosting service. There are several hosting services that provide excellent customer service. If you are looking for a reliable and cost efficient hosting service, I recommend that you use bluehost.com for your domain purchase and hosting services or businesscatalyst.com (Adobe hosting) for hosting services. I work with both of these providers on a regular basis and their customer service is always top notch in my experience. With that said, AB Creative is not responsible for server downtime, software issues or any other compatibility issue that may arise after the launch of the site if you choose to set up your own hosting. Future update compatibility issues (regarding Wordpress CMS) for your site will not be covered by AB Creative. After the launch of the site, all additional work will be quoted and billed at our hourly rate. Client must also provide AB Creative with FTP access to their server. If you decide to have AB Creative manage your domain name and hosting, you can choose from bi or annual billing. You will receive an invoice once or twice a year covering the expenses of your domain and hosting renewals. If you chose Wordpress as your platform, you will be responsible for all updates. Any troubleshooting will be subject to an hourly rate.
DO YOU HAVE OFFICE HOURS?
I do! In an effort to respect everyone’s time I have working office hours. I schedule phone calls 9am to 7pm (MST) on Monday, Friday and Saturday, and e-mails are accepted anytime. Depending on my workload at the time, I try to respond to calls and e-mails anywhere from 24 to 72 business hours after received. I do my best to respond to your calls and e-mails as efficiently as possible. Typically quotes of any kind will be available 5 to 7 days from our initial contact. I do prefer to schedule all calls and meetings so I can plan to be available and give you my full attention for our conversation.
